The Great Diving Beetle is one of Britain’s largest water beetles. They help to keep pond water clean, removing dead insects and aid in pest control.

 

With sustainable design in mind, this beetle brooch pin is hand formed (not cast), to reduce the amount of unnecessary metal, whilst keeping carbon emissions at a minimum. Each strip of gold is individually cut and fused to the silver through an ancient Korean technique known as ‘Keum-boo’.
